How Many Jurassic Park Films Are There

Hey there, movie buff! You know what's been keeping me up at night? No, not the T-Rex's roar (well, maybe a little), but the question of just how many Jurassic Park films there are. So, grab your popcorn and let's dive in, shall we?

Let's Start at the Beginning

It all began in 1993 with the original Jurassic Park, directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg. You know the one - the park goes wrong, dinosaurs run amok, and we're all left screaming, "Life finds a way!"

Now, you might think that was it, one big, scary, thrilling movie and that's that. But oh no, dear friend, that was just the tip of the... well, you know. The franchise was just getting started.

Welcome to Jurassic World

Fast forward to 2015, and we're introduced to Jurassic World. It's like they took the original park, gave it a makeover, and said, "Hold my beer."

This time around, the park is up and running, people are paying to see dinosaurs, and everything's hunky-dory. Until, of course, it's not. Because, you know, dinosaurs.

But wait, there's more! Jurassic World wasn't a one-off. No, no, no. It spawned two sequels, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022). That's right, we're up to four films now, and we're not even done yet!

But Wait, There's More!

You might be thinking, "Okay, four movies, I can handle that." But hold onto your butts, because we're about to get into the animated series and the TV show.

First up, we have The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), which is a bit of a weird one. It's an animated series that's a sequel to the first movie but not the second one. Confused yet? Don't worry, it's not just you.

Then, in 2022, we got Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous, a Netflix animated series. It's like a summer camp movie, but with dinosaurs. Because, you know, why not?

And if that wasn't enough, there's also a TV show in the works, Jurassic World: Dominion - Battle at Big Rock. It's a spin-off of Dominion, and it's set to premiere on Peacock. So, yeah, we're not short on dinosaur action, that's for sure.

So, How Many Jurassic Park Films Are There?

Alright, let's do a quick count. We've got the original four movies, plus the animated series and the upcoming TV show. That's... well, that's a lot of dinosaurs!

So, the final tally? Six Jurassic Park films, plus the animated series and the upcoming TV show. That's seven, if you're counting. And if you're not, well, you should be, because that's a whole lotta dino-action!

And the Future?

Who knows what the future holds? Maybe we'll get a Jurassic Park musical. Or a romantic comedy set in the park. (Okay, maybe not that last one.)

But seriously, with the way things are going, it's safe to say that the Jurassic Park franchise is far from extinct. And you know what? I'm not complaining. After all, who doesn't love a good dinosaur movie?

So, there you have it, folks. The Jurassic Park franchise, in all its roaring, terrifying, thrilling glory. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some dinosaurs to watch. Until next time!
