How Many Warhammer 40k Books Are There

Hey there, fellow hobbyist! Ever found yourself staring at the towering shelves of your local game store, wondering, "Just how many Warhammer 40,000 books are there?" Well, grab a cup of tea (or coffee, no judgment here), and let's dive into this galaxy-spanning literary adventure together.

Let's Talk Numbers, Baby!

Alright, so you're probably eager to know the big number, right? As of now, there are over 700 Warhammer 40,000 books out there in the vast, ink-stained universe. That's right, you heard it here first (or, you know, second, if you've already done your research).

Now, before you start planning your retirement as a full-time 40k bookworm, remember, not all of these are novels. We're talking rulebooks, codexes, White Dwarf magazines, and even some pretty nifty art books. But still, that's a whole lotta reading!

Novels: The Backbone of the 'Eavy 40k

Let's zoom in on the novels for a sec. These are the heart and soul of the 40k universe, the stories that keep us glued to our seats, eyes wide with excitement (and maybe a little fear). As of now, there are over 200 novels and novellas in the 40k range.

And let me tell you, these aren't your average page-turners. We're talking about tales of heroes and villains, of epic battles and desperate struggles, all set against the backdrop of the grim darkness of the far future. It's like the entire galaxy's a soap opera, and we're all addicted to the drama!

But Wait, There's More!

Now, you might be thinking, "That's all well and good, but what about the rest of those 700+ books?" Well, my friend, let me introduce you to the wonderful world of rulebooks, codexes, and White Dwarf magazines.

Counting: How Many Warhammer 40k Novels Are There?

Rulebooks and codexes are the lifeblood of the 40k hobby. They're where you'll find all the nitty-gritty details about your favorite units, their stats, special rules, and how to paint them (well, maybe not that last part). There are over 150 of these bad boys out there, so you'll have plenty to keep you busy.

And then there's White Dwarf, the monthly magazine that's been around since the dawn of time (okay, maybe not that long, but still). It's packed with new rules, painting guides, and even more stories set in the 40k universe. There are over 400 issues of White Dwarf, so you could spend a lifetime collecting them all (and some people do, I won't judge).

Art Books: Because Sometimes You Just Need to Appreciate the Beauty of War

Last but not least, we have the art books. These are the coffee table books of the 40k universe, filled with stunning artwork, concept art, and behind-the-scenes looks at the creative process. There are over 50 of these beauties, so you can spend hours pouring over the intricate details of your favorite models.

So, What's the Point?

Alright, so now you know there are a ton of Warhammer 40,000 books out there. But what's the point, you ask? Well, my friend, the point is that the 40k universe is vast, complex, and filled with more stories, more characters, and more worlds than you could ever explore in a lifetime.
