Ed And Lorraine Warren Movies In Order

Hey there, ghostbuster wannabe! You've stumbled upon the ultimate guide to the spine-tingling, hair-raising, and oh-so-entertaining Ed and Lorraine Warren movie marathon. So, grab your crucifix, call your squad, and let's dive into this supernatural cinematic universe, shall we?

Where it all began: The Amityville Horror (1979)

Alright, so this one's a bit of a cheat, as it's not technically an Ed and Lorraine Warren movie. But hey, it's the film that put the Warrens on the paranormal map! Based on a true story, this chiller follows the Lutz family as they move into a haunted house in Amityville, New York. The Warrens make a brief appearance, setting the stage for their future cinematic adventures.

Conjuring the classics: The Conjuring (2013) & The Conjuring 2 (2016)

Now, let's talk about the big guns - the movies that put the Warrens front and center. Kicking off the series is The Conjuring, where we meet the real-life power couple as they investigate the terrifying happenings in the Perron family's farmhouse. Think possessed dolls, creepy basements, and enough jump scares to make you question your love for popcorn.

Its sequel, The Conjuring 2, takes us on a transatlantic adventure to the chilling confines of the Hodgson home in London. Here, the Warrens face off against the infamous nun (yes, that one), proving that even demonic entities need a good exorcism from time to time.

Annabelle: Creation (2017) & The Nun (2018) - The spin-offs

But wait, there's more! The Conjuring universe expanded with these two spin-offs, each focusing on the origins of those terrifying supporting characters. In Annabelle: Creation, we learn how the creepy doll came to be, and trust me, you'll never look at a porcelain-faced toy the same way again. Then, The Nun takes us back to Romania, where Sister Irene and Father Burke face off against the demonic Valek in a chilling origin story.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) - The latest installment

And finally, we have the most recent addition to the franchise, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. This time around, the Warrens are on the trail of a murder suspect who claims demonic possession as his defense. With a courtroom drama twist and plenty of supernatural scares, it's a thrilling ride that'll leave you questioning the power of suggestion.

Wrapping it up: A smile after the scream

And there you have it, folks! The ultimate Ed and Lorraine Warren movie marathon, packed with enough scares to keep you up at night and enough laughs to make it all worthwhile. So, grab your friends, dim the lights, and get ready to embrace the chills. After all, as the Warrens would say, "Fear of the unknown is what keeps the lights on in the haunted house business." Happy haunting!
