Fast forward a few years, and Richard was running a successful record shop. But he didn't stop there. He saw an opportunity in the music industry and launched Virgin Records in 1972. The name 'Virgin'? That's because he and his partners were all new to business, you could say they were 'virgins'!
After conquering the music industry, Branson set his sights on the skies. He started Virgin Atlantic in 1984, challenging the established airlines. Why? Because he believed flying could be fun, and he was right!
