Green Bay Packers On Pitch Perfect 2

Green Bay Packers Pitch Perfect Harmony

Ever wondered what happens when the gridiron meets the concert hall? Well, buckle up, because the Green Bay Packers have just scored a touchdown in the world of a cappella. That's right, folks! The beloved NFL team has found themselves in the spotlight of the Pitch Perfect franchise, and we're not just talking about a fleeting cameo. No, no, no. This is a full-blown harmony fest.

How It All Began

It all started when the Pitch Perfect 2 filmmakers were looking for a real-life sports team to represent the fictional Barden University Bellas' rival. And who better to represent the spirit of competition and teamwork than the Packers?

So, the Packers' organization rolled up their sleeves and dove into the world of music. They even formed their own a cappella group, the Green Bay Boom! Now, that's what we call getting into character!

But how does one go from tackling quarterbacks to tackling complex harmonies? Well, the Packers took it one note at a time. They worked with vocal coach Deke Sharon, the mastermind behind the Pitch Perfect films' music, to learn the ins and outs of a cappella.

Turns out, the skills required for both football and a cappella aren't as different as you might think. Both require teamwork, discipline, and a whole lot of practice. Who knew that the same dedication that helps a receiver catch a pass could also help him hit the high notes?

From the Field to the Screen

Once the Packers were comfortable with their newfound vocal skills, it was time to hit the big screen. They filmed their scenes at Lambeau Field, the Packers' iconic home stadium, and even got to perform with the film's stars, including Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson.

But the Packers' involvement didn't stop at the filming. They also got to be a part of the film's promotional tour, performing at events like the iHeartRadio Music Festival and even appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Talk about a halftime show like no other!

So, what's next for the Green Bay Boom! after their Pitch Perfect debut? Well, they're not hanging up their microphones just yet. The team continues to perform at events and even offers workshops to teach others about the art of a cappella.
