Revisiting the Good Old Days: The Little House on the Prairie Cast Now

Remember the days when the only thing you needed to worry about was if Mary Ingalls would finally get her sight back, or if Laura would outsmart Nellie Oleson once again? Those were the good old days, weren't they? The Little House on the Prairie series, based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's classic books, was a staple in many of our childhoods. So, let's take a little trip down memory lane and see what the cast is up to now.

Melissa Gilbert - Laura Ingalls Wilder

Our beloved Laura, played by Melissa Gilbert, has come a long way from the little pioneer girl. After the show ended in 1983, Gilbert continued her acting career, appearing in various TV shows and movies. She also ventured into writing, penning two memoirs, "Prairie Tale" and "Shooting Stars."

In 2015, Gilbert was diagnosed with dystonia, a neurological movement disorder, which she has been open about. She's been using her platform to raise awareness about the condition. When she's not advocating for health causes, you can find her enjoying her family life with her husband, Timothy Busfield, and their kids.

Michael Landon - Charles Ingalls

The man who brought us the Ingalls family, Michael Landon, passed away in 1991 due to pancreatic cancer. But his legacy lives on through his work. After Little House, Landon created and starred in another popular series, "Highway to Heaven." He was also known for his directing and producing work.

Landon's daughter, Leslie, followed in his footsteps and became an actress. She's appeared in several TV shows and movies, including a guest appearance on Little House: A New Beginning, a TV movie that aired after the series ended.

Lori Loughlin - Rebecca "Becca" Thatcher

Remember Becca, the sweet girl who had a crush on Almanzo Wilder? Lori Loughlin, who played her, has had a long and successful career in Hollywood. After Little House, she appeared in several TV shows and movies, including the popular Full House and its recent reboot, Fuller House.

Kirstie Alley - Victoria "Vic" Ingalls

Kirstie Alley, who played the grown-up Laura in the TV movie series, had a successful career after Little House. She won an Emmy for her role in the sitcom Cheers and continued to act in various TV shows and movies.
