Let's Start with the Originals

Kicking off the series in 1980, we've got the one that started it all - Friday the 13th. This classic slasher film introduced us to the iconic killer, Jason Voorhees, and set the stage for a whole lot of campy chaos. But wait, there's more!

From 1981 to 1989, we got a whopping seven more installments. That's right, we're talking Friday the 13th Part 2 through Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. Phew! That's a mouthful, and a whole lot of Jason goodness.

New Millennium, New Jason

After a brief hiatus, Jason returned in the new millennium with a remake of the original film in 2009. But the fun didn't stop there! In 2013, we got a crossover event with another horror icon, Freddy Krueger, in Freddy vs. Jason. Talk about a dream (or nightmare) team-up!

And if you thought that was it, think again! In 2021, we got a reboot of the entire franchise with Friday the 13th. This one's a bit different, as it's currently stuck in development hell, but who knows? Maybe one day we'll get to see it!

So, How Many Is That?

Alright, let's tally it up! If we count the originals, the remake, the crossover, and the reboot, we're looking at a eleven films in total. That's right, folks! Eleven chilling, thrilling, and sometimes cheesy installments of Jason Voorhees' bloody rampage.
