Hey there, movie buffs! Ever found yourself scrolling through Netflix, wondering, "How many ice age movies are there, anyway?" Well, grab your mammoth-sized popcorn, 'cause we're about to dive into a chilly adventure through time!
Let's Roll Back the Clock
Picture this: a world covered in ice, where woolly mammoths roamed, and a plucky squirrel named Scrat was on a never-ending quest for the perfect acorn. That's right, we're talking about the Ice Age franchise, which has been keeping us entertained since 2002!
Ice Age: The Original
It all started with "Ice Age," the first movie in the series. Manny the Mammoth, Sid the Sloth, and Diego the Saber-Toothed Tiger embarked on their first adventure, trying to return a human baby to its tribe. Little did they know, this was just the beginning of their wild rides together!

And Then There Were Sequels
After the success of the first movie, it was only natural that our furry friends returned for more adventures. So far, there are five movies in the main series, with the latest one, "Ice Age: Collision Course," hitting theaters in 2016. But wait, there's more!
Shorts and Specials: More Ice Age Fun!
If you thought five movies were enough, think again! The Ice Age gang has also starred in several short films and TV specials. These bite-sized adventures are perfect for when you're craving a quick mammoth-sized laugh. Here's a quick rundown:

And that's not all! There are also a couple of direct-to-video movies and other specials, but we'll let you discover those for yourself. After all, part of the fun is stumbling upon hidden treasures!
Why We Keep Coming Back for More
So, why do we keep watching these movies, year after year? Is it Manny's gruff charm? Sid's hilarious antics? Diego's cool factor? Or maybe it's just Scrat's never-ending pursuit of that elusive acorn. Whatever it is, there's no denying that the Ice Age gang has a special place in our hearts.
These movies remind us that friendship and family can overcome any obstacle, no matter how big or small. They're a fun-filled reminder that even in the coldest of times, there's always room for warmth and laughter. And isn't that something we can all appreciate?
