Why Is Hudson Not In Hudson And Rex

So, there I was, binge-watching my favorite cop drama, Hudson & Rex, when suddenly it hit me. I mean, really hit me. Why is Hudson not in Hudson & Rex? I mean, sure, we've got the lovable German Shepherd, Rex, but where's the human half of this dynamic duo?

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Hey, that's a great question! Let's dive into this mystery together, shall we?" And dive we shall, my curious friend.

Meet Hudson, the Invisible Partner

First things first, let's talk about our titular character, Hudson. He's a K-9 officer, a detective, a partner to Rex, and... well, that's about it. We never see him, do we? Nope. Not once. He's like the world's most dedicated voice on a walkie-talkie, always there but never in the flesh.

I mean, come on! You'd think after a few episodes, they'd at least give us a glimpse. A silhouette, maybe? A reflection in a window? Anything! But no, Hudson remains as elusive as Bigfoot, as mysterious as the Bermuda Triangle.

Why the Mystery, You Ask?

Alright, let's tackle the elephant in the room. Or rather, the dog in the room. Why is Hudson never on screen? Well, folks, it's all about the furry star power. Rex, our four-legged friend, is the real MVP here. He's the one solving crimes, finding clues, and stealing hearts. Hudson? Well, he's just the brains behind the operation. Or so we're told.

John Reardon Hudson & Rex Controversy

Think about it. How many cop shows have you seen where the human partner is overshadowed by their animal companion? Exactly. It's a rare phenomenon, and Hudson & Rex is breaking new ground in the 'animal co-stars' department.

But What About the Actor?

You might be wondering, "What about John Reardon, the actor who plays Hudson? Isn't he feeling a bit sidelined?" Well, according to interviews, he's actually pretty chill about it. He understands that Rex is the main attraction and that his role is more of a narrator, guiding us through the cases.

Plus, think about the perks! No wardrobe malfunctions, no script memorization, and you get to work with a super cute dog. I mean, if that's not a dream job, I don't know what is.

So, Is Hudson Real?

Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "But what if Hudson is real? What if he's just... really, really shy?" Well, my friends, I have some disappointing news for you. Hudson is, in fact, not real. He's a fictional character, a voice on the other end of the line, a figment of our imagination.

But hey, that doesn't mean we can't keep hoping for a surprise appearance. Maybe one day, Hudson will finally step out of the shadows. Until then, we'll just have to be content with Rex's adorable antics and Hudson's disembodied voice.

And so, dear reader, our mystery remains unsolved. Hudson is not in Hudson & Rex, and he probably never will be. But that's okay. We've still got Rex, and isn't that what really matters?
