When Is The New Avatar Coming Out

Avatar 2: The Waiting Game

Alright, let's dive in. You're here 'cause you're dying to know, "When's the new Avatar coming out?" Well, grab a snack, 'cause we're about to spill the beans.

So, What's the Deal?

You remember the first Avatar, right? It was like Pandora's box of visual magic, and we couldn't get enough. Well, James Cameron, the mastermind behind it all, has been busy cooking up not one, not two, but four more Avatar films.

But here's the kicker: he's taking his sweet time. We're talking over a decade since the first one. Why? Well, Cameron's a perfectionist, and he's been busy creating new tech, like a new camera system, just to make these films. Talk about dedication!

When's the Premiere Party?

Alright, let's get down to business. The first of the new bunch, Avatar: The Way of Water, is set to hit theaters on December 16, 2022. That's right, just in time for the holidays. Cameron's hoping it'll be the gift that keeps on giving.

But here's a fun fact: The release date has moved around more times than a kid at a buffet. It was originally set for 2014, then 2016, 2017, 2018, and finally 2021. But then, you know, life happened (we're looking at you, COVID).

What's the Plot?

Now, you're probably wondering, "What's this new one about?" Well, Cameron's keeping tight-lipped, but here's what we do know: It's set around 10 years after the first film, and it'll focus on the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids).

And get this: The underwater world of Pandora will take center stage. Cameron's been working on some mind-blowing underwater visuals. He even built a giant water tank for filming. Talk about going the extra mile!

What About the Other Films?

So, what about the other three Avatar films? They're all in various stages of production. The third one is set to release in 2024, and the fourth and fifth are planned for 2026 and 2028, respectively. Cameron's got a whole Pandoran universe to explore, after all.

And here's a fun tidbit: Each film will focus on different characters and storylines. Cameron's not one to repeat himself, that's for sure.

Can't Wait? Here's a Quick Fix

Feeling impatient? Cameron's got a little something to tide you over. He's been sharing teaser images and behind-the-scenes looks on his Instagram. It's like getting a sneak peek into the magic of filmmaking.

And if you're really craving some Avatar action, why not revisit the first film? It's like meeting up with an old friend. Plus, it'll give you a refresher before you dive back into Pandora.

So, Are You Ready?

There you have it, folks. The wait for Avatar 2 is almost over. So, mark your calendars, tell your friends, and get ready to dive back into the world of Pandora. It's been a long wait, but sometimes, the best things are worth it.

And remember, as Jake Sully would say, "I know a guy." Well, we know a guy too - Cameron - and he's bringing us back to Pandora. See you at the movies!
