The Cast Of Saved By The Bell Now

So, I was at this retro-themed diner the other day, minding my own business, when the waitress, who looked like she was straight out of the '90s, asked me if I wanted to "lean into the nostalgia" and order a "Bayside Burger." I mean, how could I resist? That's when it hit me - I hadn't thought about Saved By The Bell in ages, and suddenly, I was craving more than just a burger. I wanted to know what happened to the cast!

Where Are They Now?

Let's dive in, shall we? Grab a slice of that delicious '90s nostalgia pie and let's catch up on our favorite Bayside High crew.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar - Zack Morris

Our beloved heartthrob, Zack Morris, has come a long way from his days of scheming and long-distance calls. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is now a family man, married to Catfish host Nev Schulman's sister, Laura. He's been keeping busy with roles in shows like Franklin & Bash and The Passage. And get this - he's even reprised his role as Zack Morris in the Saved By The Bell reboot on Peacock!

Side note: Can you believe it's been over 30 years since Zack's iconic "Time out!" catchphrase? I feel old now.

Tiffani Thiessen - Kelly Kapowski

Kelly Kapowski, the ultimate '90s girl crush, has traded in her cheerleading uniform for a career in acting and cooking. Tiffani Thiessen has had recurring roles in shows like White Collar and Alex, Inc., and she's even hosted her own cooking show, Dinner at Tiffani's. Plus, she's a mom now, and her daughter is just as adorable as you'd imagine.

Fun fact: Tiffani was actually the first cast member to be approached for the reboot. Talk about a true Bayside loyalist!

Mario Lopez - A.C. Slater

Our favorite jock, A.C. Slater, has become quite the TV personality himself. Mario Lopez is now a host on Access Hollywood and Extra, and he's even written a few books. He's also a proud dad of three beautiful kids. Oh, and did you know he's a big fan of mixed martial arts? Talk about a tough guy!

Side note: I still can't get over the fact that Mario was once engaged to Dancing with the Stars partner Karina Smirnoff. I mean, can you imagine Slater trying to tango?

Elizabeth Berkley - Jessie Spano

Jessie Spano, the passionate and sometimes overly dramatic valedictorian, has traded in her dreams of becoming a singer for a successful acting career. Elizabeth Berkley has had roles in shows like NYPD Blue and The First Wives Club, and she's even written a book about her experiences in Hollywood. She's also a mom now, and her son is just as talented as you'd expect.

Fun fact: Elizabeth was actually the one who convinced Mark-Paul Gosselaar to join the reboot. Talk about a true Bayside reunion!

Dustin Diamond - Screech Powers

Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room - Screech Powers. Dustin Diamond's life has taken a bit of a different turn since his days at Bayside High. He's had some legal troubles and has even written a tell-all book about his time on the show, which didn't sit well with some of his former castmates.

Sadly, Dustin passed away in 2021 after a battle with cancer. He was just 44 years old. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.

And the Rest...

What about the rest of the Bayside crew, you ask? Well, Saved By The Bell was a big show, and there were plenty of other memorable characters.

Where are the cast of Saved by the Bell now? From Mark-Paul Gosselaar

Dennis Haskins, who played Principal Belding, has had a successful career in acting and directing. He even reprised his role in the reboot. Ed Alonzo, who played the school's janitor, Max, has become a successful magician and has even performed for celebrities like Michael Jackson. And Lark Voorhies, who played Lisa Turtle, has had roles in various TV shows and movies.

And let's not forget about Saved By The Bell: The College Years! Most of the original cast returned for this spin-off, and it was just as cheesy and fun as the original series. Unfortunately, it only lasted for one season.

So, What's Next?

With the success of the Saved By The Bell reboot, it's clear that there's still a lot of love for this classic '90s sitcom. And with the original cast members reprising their roles, it's like a dream come true for fans like me.

But what's next for our favorite Bayside High crew? Only time will tell. Until then, I'll be here, binge-watching the reboot and reminiscing about the good old days. Who's with me?

And hey, if you have any other '90s nostalgia you want to talk about, let me know in the comments. I'm always up for a good trip down memory lane!
