So, How Many Series Are We Talking About?
Alright, let's start with the big guns. There's the original NCIS, which kicked off in 2003. It's still going strong, making it one of the longest-running scripted primetime TV series, ever. That's like the granddaddy of NCIS shows, you know?
But wait, there's more! If you're thinking, "One series isn't enough," well, you're in luck. In 2009, NCIS: Los Angeles joined the party. Then, in 2012, NCIS: New Orleans rolled in. And just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, NCIS: Hawaii premiered in 2021. That's right, we're up to four series now!

Take NCIS: Los Angeles. It's got that California vibe, with a team that's more undercover and covert than the original. Well, that's got the tropical paradise vibe, with a team that deals with the Pacific's wide-open spaces.
