How Many Seasons Is There Of Ncis

So, there I was, binge-watching NCIS on Netflix, when it hit me - I had no idea how many seasons this crime-solving drama had. I mean, I've seen Gibbs and his team solve cases from the Navy Yard to the D.C. suburbs, but I couldn't tell you if we were in season 1 or 100. So, I decided to do some digging, and here's what I found out.

Where It All Started

NCIS, or Naval Criminal Investigative Service, first aired in 2003. It was a spin-off of JAG, another military legal drama. The first season was a modest 23 episodes, and it was clear from the start that this show had potential. The chemistry between Mark Harmon's Gibbs and the rest of the team was palpable, and the cases were intriguing enough to keep viewers hooked.

Gaining Momentum

Over the years, NCIS has become a staple in primetime television. It's been renewed season after season, and it's not hard to see why. The show has a unique blend of humor, drama, and suspense that keeps audiences coming back for more. Plus, who doesn't love a good mystery?

But back to my original question - how many seasons is there of NCIS? As of now, we're in season 19. Yes, you read that right. Nineteen seasons of Gibbs and his team solving crimes, navigating office politics, and dealing with personal drama. It's a lot to take in, I know.

Spinoffs and More

But wait, there's more! NCIS has spawned not one, not two, but three spinoffs. There's NCIS: Los Angeles, which premiered in 2009 and is currently in its 13th season. Then there's NCIS: New Orleans, which ran from 2014 to 2021 for a total of seven seasons. And let's not forget NCIS: Hawaii, the newest addition to the franchise, which started in 2021 and is currently in its second season.

Each spinoff brings a fresh perspective to the NCIS universe, with new locations, new teams, and new cases. But they all share the same DNA - a mix of crime-solving, drama, and humor that has made the original NCIS such a hit.

So, What's Next?

As for the original NCIS, season 20 is on the way. Yes, you heard it right. The show has been renewed for another season, which means more cases, more Gibbs-isms, and more of the team we've grown to love. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for it.

But hey, I'm curious - are you an NCIS fan? Have you been watching since the beginning, or are you a newer fan? Let me know in the comments. And if you have any other shows you're curious about, drop me a line. I'm always up for a good binge-watch.
