Cast Of The Waltons Then And Now

Remember the Waltons? Let's Catch Up!

Ever found yourself humming the theme song of The Waltons while doing the dishes? You're not alone! This classic TV show has left an indelible mark on our hearts. So, let's grab a cup of coffee and catch up with the cast, shall we?

John-Boy Walton: Richard Thomas

Remember John-Boy, the aspiring writer who kept us all in tears with his heartfelt letters? Richard Thomas, the actor who brought him to life, has had a fascinating journey since then. He's continued acting, with notable roles in shows like The Americans and The Good Wife. But here's a fun fact: Thomas also directed several episodes of The Waltons! Talk about a multitalented Walton.

Now, imagine John-Boy as a secret agent in a spy thriller. That's pretty much what Thomas did in the movie The China Syndrome. Mind. Blown.

Olivia Walton: Michael Learned

Michael Learned, our beloved Olivia Walton, has had a career that's as impressive as her character's strength. She's continued acting, with roles in shows like Nurse Jackie and General Hospital. But here's something you might not know: Learned is also a passionate advocate for animal rights. She's even been arrested for protesting against animal cruelty! Now that's a Walton with a cause.

Can you picture Olivia Walton leading a protest? Neither can we. But we love the idea of her standing up for what she believes in.

Ben: Eric Scott

Eric Scott, our favorite prankster, has had a varied career, from acting to producing. But here's a fun fact: he's also a pilot! So, next time you're on a flight, keep an eye out for Ben Walton at the controls. (Just kidding, please don't distract the pilots.)

Erin: Kami Cotler

Kami Cotler, who played the youngest Walton, has had a fascinating journey. After acting, she became a teacher, then a school principal! Now, that's a career change. But we're sure Erin would be proud of her little sister.

And the Rest...

The rest of the cast has had equally interesting journeys. Will Geer, who played Grandpa Walton, became a passionate environmentalist in his later years. Ellen Corby, who played Grandma Walton, continued acting until her passing in 1999. And the rest of the Walton kids? They've all pursued various careers, from acting to writing to teaching.

Isn't it amazing how these actors have grown and changed over the years? It's like watching our own family grow up, isn't it? So, the next time you're feeling nostalgic, why not catch up with the Waltons? You might just find they've got some pretty amazing stories to tell.
