How Long Is Wicked 2 On For

Hey there, theater buffs and curious minds! Ever found yourself humming "Defying Gravity" at the grocery store, wondering, "Just how long does that magical musical, Wicked, keep its spell on audiences?" Well, buckle up, because we're about to dive into a fun-filled journey through the yellow brick road of Wicked's run time and history!

So, How Long Is Wicked, Really?

Alright, let's get down to business. The show itself, from the first note of "No One Mourns the Wicked" to the final bow, lasts about 2 hours and 45 minutes. But hold onto your pointy hats, because that's not the whole story!

You see, the intermission is where the real magic happens. It's like the Emerald City's version of a coffee break. So, if you add that in, the entire experience clocks in at a whopping 3 hours and 15 minutes. Now, that's a party!

But Wait, There's More!

Now, let's talk about the pre-show. Yes, you heard it right! Some theaters offer a pre-show where you can learn fun facts about the production, or even catch a sneak peek of the cast warming up. Isn't that just wicked neat?

And if you're thinking, "Wow, that's a long time to be sitting in one place," well, you're not wrong. But here's a fun fact to make you feel better: The longest running show on Broadway, Phantom of the Opera, has a run time of 2 hours and 30 minutes. So, you're in good company!

Wicked's Stamina: A Marathon, Not a Sprint

Now, you might be wondering, "How does this show keep going and going, like the Tin Man's oil can?" Well, my friend, it's all about the stamina. Wicked has been enchanting audiences since its debut in 2003. That's right, it's been around for almost two decades!

And the secret to its endurance? Well, it's not just the green makeup or Glinda's fabulous wigs. It's the storytelling, the music, and the magic that keeps audiences coming back for more. Plus, let's not forget the cast. Those talented folks work tirelessly, eight shows a week, to bring the land of Oz to life.
