When Is The New Chosen Season Coming Out

Okay, let's talk about The Chosen. You know the show. The one that turned a simple Bible story into a binge-worthy drama that even your non-religious cousin won't stop watching? Yeah, that one.

Everyone keeps asking the same question lately. When is the new season dropping? Spoiler: we're about to dig into everything we know and have a little fun along the way.

The Chosen: A Whole Different Kind of Show

First, let's appreciate how wild this show has gotten. We're talking about a show originally crowdfunded by regular people on Kickstarter. Now it rivals the budgets of premium cable hits.

Creator Dallas Jenkins literally filmed the first episode in a garage. A garage! And here we are, millions of episodes views later.

The show follows 12 apostles and Jesus like never before. Think character-driven storytelling with plot twists that leave you picking your jaw off the floor.

Where Are We Right Now?

Season 4 already surprised fans with a theatrical release strategy. The first half hit theaters before landing on streaming. Classic suspense-move energy.

That means fans got to experience it on a big screen first. Imagine watching Peter stumble in 4K on a 50-foot screen. Iconic.

Now we're left glancing at our phones and refreshing for updates. Nobody panic. Yet.

When Is The New Season Coming Out?

Here's the tea: Season 5 has been confirmed and is already in the works. The team at Angel Studios hasn't shared a detailed premiere date just yet.

Based on the pace of past seasons, we're likely looking at a release window in late 2025 or early 2026. But honestly? Show business loves keeping us on our toes.

Production timelines shift like weather patterns. One day it's "filming starts next month." The next day it's "we're refining the script." Fans remain patient. Mostly.

Why The Wait Feels So Long

The Chosen has grown into a massive cultural phenomenon. Season 5 will apparently be "the biggest" yet, according to Dallas Jenkins himself.

More followers. More drama. More emotional gut-punches you won't see coming. It all takes serious time to craft properly.

Oh, and there's a movie or two in development too. The folks at Angel Studios are juggling multiple projects like pros at a circus.

The Theatrical Experience Factor

Here's a quirky little detail almost nobody talks about. The Chosen pioneered a hybrid release model mixing theaters and streaming.

Season 5 will likely follow a similar playbook. Get the hyped-up early screenings first, then deliver the full binge on your couch.

That strategy actually boosted viewership for Season 4 by a shocking 30%. Marketing folks everywhere are taking notes.

Fun Facts While You Wait

Did you know Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus, was once homeless before landing this role? Life really does write the best plot twists.

The show has been dubbed into over sixty languages. That's a lot of subtitled Jesus add timeouts trending worldwide.

Also? The actress playing Mary Magdalene nearly choked on a grape during a take once. The crew just kept rolling. Television gold.

How To Stay Updated

You'll want to bookmark Angel Studios' official channels for casting calls. The countdown will go live once a date is locked.

Follow Dallas Jenkins on social media. He casually drops teaser trailers like shrapnel and leaves fans collectively screaming.

Set a phone reminder. Seriously. You don't want to hear about Season 5 from your group chat three days late.

The Bottom Line

We're still waiting on a firm premiere date for Season 5. The smart money says 2025 or early 2026 based on production cycles.

Until then, fans can rewatch, theorize, and bother every scratchy actor with out-of-context clip edits. Game on.
