Who Is João From Below Deck?

Before we dig into his age, let's get the basics down. João came onto the Below Deck Med scene as a deckhand who quickly proved he wasn't just along for the ride. He's Portuguese, bold, and definitely knows how to stir things up both on and off the boat.

He first appeared on the show in its second season and stuck around for the next one too. That's pretty impressive for a reality TV guest — most people barely make it through a single charter week without getting completely sidelined.

His role on the yacht turned heads quickly. From handling sails to commanding respect from his crewmates, João carved out a niche that made viewers want to know more about him.

So, How Old Is João?

Here's the thing — celebrity ages can feel like those mystery boxes you buy online. You have a general idea, but the exact details remain a little fuzzy. João was born in 1989, which makes him currently in his mid-thirties.

Why Does His Age Matter?

Okay, full honesty here — does knowing someone's age really change anything? Not necessarily. But it does give us context about what these crew members are dealing with.

João was in his early thirties while filming, which is the sweet spot between being young enough to hustle hard and old enough to know better. At that age, you're still learning the ropes but also bringing real-life wisdom to the table.

Others, like seasoned captains, push well into their forties and fifties. Jinão lands right in that middle zone, making him relatable to a big chunk of the audience.
